They come in different price classes, and with different patterns and looks. Before buying, measure how
big the area is that you want to cover; to make the estimation of
needed material easier.
Other than klinker, what you will need is filler and various tools
- the store clerks can, beside helping you out with estimating the amount of needed material, help you out with figuring out which tools that you will need to make your floor laying process, or whichever process, easier.
Don't be afraid to ask the persons working in the store for advice on anything related to klinker - as they often
have much needed information and ideas at their deposal to make your renovation
work out. Remember this.
You Can Use Klinkers In More Ways Than You Might Think
Prepare also how you want the room to look - bigger or smaller -
as the color of the klinker, a bright color making it seem bigger
and a darker color smaller but possibly more cosy, affects the
experience of the room.
If you at all cared about the above, you might also be interested
in using klinker to create beautiful patterns.
Use your common sense here... If there was something in the room
that you wanted to use the klinker to highlight, how would the
klinker look... really fancy, or kind of repetitious (here for a
good cause)? Repetitious, right.
(Think about these things beforehand, if it makes sense to you; if they at all are important to you they might be worth giving a thought)
So maybe a rule of thumb would be: if you have something that you think looks nicer than klinkers in the room, use the klinker to highlight it. If you are
using the klinkers in maybe the bathroom - where possibly you don't
have a painting to highlight - get a real nice looking klinkers, or
be creative with colors and patterns.
